The Young Enterprise Program (YE) was introduced to Malaysian Secondary Schools in 1989 by the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce to give students an oppurtunity to learn about business through hands-on experience. Malaysia is the first country in this region to adopt this program as an extra-curricular activity for secondary school students. Only 25 students called "Achievers" are selected to from a mini-company in school. They will learn how to run a company with the assistance of teacher and corporate advisors. The program operates over a period of 8 months.
